$3 million for Make it Count' Indigenous maths program

SNIPPET: The Minister for Education, Julia Gillard, today announced funding of $3 million for Make it Count, a numeracy project for Indigenous students. The Rudd Government has committed $540 million to improving literacy and numeracy in all Australian schools. Support for programs that have been shown to work, such as Make it Count, builds the capacity of teachers and schools to improve the educational outcomes of Indigenous students.
